SEETE – Securing Enabling Environments Through Empowerment
Provides specialist prison consultancy, accredited prisoner mentor training, rehabilitation programmes, cultural awareness training, prison leaver accommodation and lived experience services across England and Wales.
We work alongside prisons, HMPPS, probation services and criminal justice partners to help create safer, more rehabilitative environments, strengthen prisoner engagement, support recovery, improve staff–prisoner relationships and help reduce reoffending.
Our approach combines authentic lived experience with professional practice, bridging the gap between policy, prison operations and the realities experienced by people in custody.

Lived Experience at the Heart of What We Do.
SEETE was created from the belief that lived experience, when combined with professional practice, can become a powerful tool for change within the criminal justice system.
We understand prison environments from perspectives that cannot be gained through policy documents or training manuals alone.
That experience enables SEETE to engage credibly with people in custody while also working professionally and constructively alongside Prison Governors, HMPPS, prison officers, probation services, commissioners and criminal justice partners.
Our role is not to criticise the prison system from the outside.
It is to work alongside the people within it to help create environments where accountability, dignity, rehabilitation, recovery and meaningful change can take place.

SEETE works with prisons, HMPPS, probation services, local authorities, criminal justice organisations, education providers and community partners.
Our services can be commissioned individually or combined to provide a more integrated approach to rehabilitation, recovery, mentoring, equality, staff development and resettlement.
